Case Materials & Movement Construction

The Mossimo Watch features a brushed stainless steel case that resists corrosion and maintains its appearance through years of wear. We chose 316L grade steel for its hypoallergenic properties and exceptional durability — the same material used in higher-end timepieces.
Inside, a reliable Japanese quartz movement keeps time with precision accuracy, losing or gaining no more than 15 seconds per month. The sealed case back protects internal components from moisture and dust, while the threaded crown creates a water-tight seal rated to 30 meters. This construction makes the watch suitable for handwashing, light rain, and accidental splashes, though we don’t recommend swimming or showering while wearing it.
Dial Design & Readability Features

Our design team crafted a clean, uncluttered dial that prioritizes legibility. Bold hour markers and slim hands create strong contrast against the face, allowing you to read the time at a glance. We use luminous coating on the hour and minute hands, plus the 12, 3, 6, and 9 markers, so you can check the time in dimly lit environments without fumbling for a light.
The date window sits at the 3 o’clock position, integrated seamlessly into the dial layout without disrupting the watch’s balanced proportions. A printed minute track rings the outer edge, useful for timing events or tracking elapsed minutes with precision.
Care Instructions & Maintenance

To keep your mossimo watch looking sharp, wipe the case and crystal with a soft, lint-free cloth after exposure to dirt, sweat, or salt water. For deeper cleaning, use a slightly damp cloth with mild soap, being careful to avoid getting moisture near the crown when it’s pulled out.
The leather strap requires periodic conditioning to prevent cracking — apply a small amount of leather conditioner every 2–3 months, or more frequently if you wear the watch daily. The silicone strap can be cleaned with soap and water, then air-dried.

Mossimo Watch Questions
The watch has a 30-meter (3 ATM) water resistance rating, which means it can handle splashes, rain, and handwashing without issue. However, we don’t recommend swimming, showering, or diving with it, as prolonged submersion or water pressure can compromise the seals.
For water activities, consider our Mossimo Dive Watch with 200-meter resistance specifically designed for swimming and snorkeling.
If you have the leather or silicone strap, simply thread the end through the buckle and fasten it at the hole that provides a snug but comfortable fit — you should be able to slide one finger between the strap and your wrist.
For metal bracelet versions, link removal requires a small pin pusher tool. Many jewelry stores offer free sizing, or you can purchase a watch repair kit to do it yourself. The strap uses standard 22mm quick-release spring bars if you want to swap to a different style.
The watch uses a standard SR626SW (377) silver oxide battery, which typically lasts 2 to 3 years depending on usage. You’ll know it’s time for replacement when the second hand starts jumping in 2–4 second intervals instead of smooth one-second ticks.
We recommend having a professional jeweler or watch technician replace the battery to ensure the case back is properly resealed and water resistance is maintained.
Absolutely. The silicone strap version is particularly well-suited for active wear thanks to its sweat-resistant material and secure buckle closure. The case construction can handle impacts from normal athletic activity, though we’d avoid contact sports where direct hits to the watch face are likely.
The luminous hands make it easy to track your workout time in dimly lit gyms, and the water resistance handles perspiration without issues.
Yes, every watch includes our 1-year limited warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. This protects you if the movement fails, the case finish deteriorates abnormally, or manufacturing flaws appear during normal use.
The warranty doesn’t cover battery replacement, strap wear, scratches from daily use, or damage from accidents or improper handling. Keep your proof of purchase for warranty claims.
Yes, genuine leather naturally develops a patina as it absorbs oils from your skin and exposure to sunlight. This aging process creates unique color variations and softens the leather for improved comfort.
If you prefer to maintain the original color longer, apply leather conditioner every few months and limit sun exposure when not wearing the watch. Many customers actually prefer the aged look as it adds character and personalizes the timepiece.
Definitely. The watch uses standard 22mm lugs with quick-release spring bars, making it compatible with thousands of aftermarket straps available from watch accessory retailers. You can swap between leather, NATO, silicone, and mesh bands in seconds without any tools.
Just confirm the replacement strap is 22mm wide and uses spring bars (most do). We also offer our own line of replacement straps in various materials and colors designed specifically for this watch.
